I used to drastically cut carbs to get lean. It worked…until it stopped working. This was a significant factor in reducing my metabolic rate. This just made fat loss even harder

I WANT TO LOSE WEIGHT.

Carbs are not the problem…a slow metabolism is. A healthy metabolism should efficiently use carbs as energy.

WONT CARBS WILL SLOW DOWN WEIGHT LOSS?

Carbs are the body’s primary energy source and are essential for thyroid hormone conversion. If the liver doesn’t get enough sugar from glycogen its unable to convert T4 to T3 that is required for a speedy metabolism. Cells need a constant supply of glucose from carbohydrates for metabolism, energy and life. If not enough carbs are consumed, the body catabolizes its own tissues and muscle to convert to glucose.

BUT DO I NEED THEM?

The right carbs from simple sugars from fruits, honey, juices and root vegetables can help improve digestion, immune function, balance hormones, reduce cravings, provide energy and boost metabolic rate which is essential for healthy fat loss.

BUT….MY BODY DOESNT TOLERATE CARBS!

It’s not chemically possible to be unable to tolerate carbohydrates. Sugars don’t work for some and not for others. Glucose from carbs is the primary fuel for every cell in the body and is used for thyroid hormone production.

BUT I REALLY NEED TO LOSE WEIGHT!

Is the obsession with losing weight really worth sacrificing health, metabolism, energy and lean muscle mass?
The irony is that the food being avoided for the purpose of fat loss is the food that is needed for a fast metabolism and weight loss success.

SO WHAT DO I DO?

The answer – Eat to increase metabolism. Fuel cells with pro-thyroid sugars. Fat loss favours a fast metabolism.
